Fiscal Responsibility

IUOE 955 is the only union in North America that supplies vehicles.

We have the highest paid business agents and business manager in North America, this needs to be addressed.

 

Policies and bylaws need to ensure our dues are not being used for personal gain.

Communication

We need to rebuild relationships with signatory contractors, making it easier for agents to access units.

Excessive marketing spending in ineffective venues must be addressed.

I would like to create a local 955 phone app to make it easier for members to access benefit and pension information.

Benefits

A benefit plan that is equal for ALL members.

Investigate possible benefits for retirees and a 955 self administered benefit plan.

Pension investments for a better rate of return.

Pension funding to return to 100% or fully funded plan.

Training 

Make training available to All members in a timely fashion.

Provide in house training for fall arrest.

Provide advanced training for mechanics in hydraulic, electronics and electrical systems.

 

Business Agents & Organizers

We recognize that our members work all hours of the day and all members deserve to receive access to business agents at all times.

Organize sectors with a lower market share.  Explore organizing more stationary units.

Common Course

Comet and common core training for new & current members.

Educate members on how the union works for them.

Ensure increased transparency and accountability.
